Geneva National Resort Wedding

Sierra & Nate

We have been anxiously awaiting Nate & Sierra’s Geneva National Resort wedding since we met these two. We immediately connected with their vibrant personalities and admired their love for one another. Since our first meeting with them, we could tell that these two are special. It was only confirmed to us during their engagement session with their hearts of joy and contagious smiles.

In fact, it was Nate’s smile that Sierra loved most about him on their first date – that killer smile and his authenticity. They met in college at UW-Whitewater where they were both studying to become gym teachers. (Can you imagine a better pair of gym teachers?! I cannot!) Sierra couldn’t help staring at the cute boy in her class, and they spoke for the first time on his 21st birthday. 😉 It didn’t take long for them to realize this was something big, something beautiful. When they went home for break that summer, Sierra knew this was it: “He makes the smallest moments feel grand.”

We started the day at Nate’s parent’s house, where you could feel the family love and support. With a stairway wall filled with their annual sibling picture, it’s no wonder that the three brothers and their sister are so close and supportive of each other. It was truly something beautiful to witness (and definitely something we want for our kids as they continue to get older as well)! (Well done, parents!) 🙂

The wedding ceremony took place at Nate’s family’s home church where, surrounded by family and friends, these two made it all official! From that point on, the nerves were gone. It was official, and everyone was ready to celebrate! We headed off to Geneva National Resort, which was a beautiful venue inside & out. Sierra is a big golfer (and she got Nate hooked on the sport as well), so it was even more meaningful that their reception overlooked a beautiful golf course.

The sunset was perfect and everything these photographers could’ve hoped for in that gorgeous late-winter sunlight. I look at these photos of their genuine joy and excitement; and I think about how exciting it will be for them to look back on these pictures a year, five years, or ten years into their marriage and remember that joy. Pictures are powerful and beautiful. What an honor it is to capture moments like these!

We absolutely loved the deep family love on all sides at Sierra & Nate’s wedding. The family dances were our favorite. Nate even had a special dance with his Grandma, which was SO adorable! Everything about their day was excellent. We could rave about these two, their families & friends, and their all-around-lovely wedding day… but these photos will say more than we can. 🙂 Enjoy these favorites from Sierra & Nate’s Geneva National Resort wedding.
