Lindsay & Mark | Hilton Mke City Center

Lindsay & Mark’s Hilton Milwaukee City Center wedding was a beautiful Veteran’s Day celebration. The wedding itself was beautifully planned. Gorgeous florals by Belle Fiore were the perfect accent for the stunning black dresses & tuxes their wedding party wore. With assistance from Weddings With a Twist, Lindsay & Mark’s wedding was the most perfect late fall (early winter) weddings one could plan in Wisconsin.

These two met in their undergrad time at UW-Madison and had some mutual friendship circles. After going their separate ways, they met up in Washington D.C. through their jobs. Mark walked into an office one day to find Lindsay there! They soon got together, and the rest is history. 🙂 With family ties and their first memories of each other rooted in Wisconsin and the blossoming of their love in Washington, D.C., they created the PERFECT wedding cake to display all of these aspects of their life & love. They included UW-Madison inspired union chairs as their cake topper and the skyline of Washington, D.C. around the bottom of their cake! We loved their creativity and the artistry of Simma’s Bakery.

Lindsay & Mark didn’t want their wedding day to put them at the center of attention (although they were absolutely stunning!). They far preferred that it be a celebratory day among family and friends, and it most definitely was! They strategically planned that their wedding be on Veteran’s Day, as patriotism is very important to them. Lindsay & Mark serve in their own way through their jobs in the public policy sphere. With loving and supportive parents who likewise serve in valuable positions in their communities, it was beautiful for us to witness the outpouring of love from both families and all their amazing friends.

Some of our favorite moments include Lindsay’s first look with her dad and brother. The familial love between Lindsay, her parents, and her brother, was a tangible element you could both see and feel. When John was helping Mark get set up for his first look with Lindsay (at the gorgeous stairwell at the Hilton City Center), he had a quick conversation with Mark about whether or not he would tear up. Mark mentioned that the thing that really gets him teary-eyed is thinking about those who have sacrificed for our country, which is very fitting for their Veteran’s Day wedding celebration.

The remainder of their day was filled with Mark’s humor, Lindsay’s grace and beauty, and the obvious love and support of their many family and friends. It was a beautiful day from start to finish, and we’re honored & thrilled to share a few of our favorites from their Hilton Milwaukee City Center wedding.
