HEY, IT'S EMILY

Pfister Wedding with Emily + Nate

Emily and Nate hosted an elegant, classic winter wedding at The Pfister. The details were impeccable, and to make the day even more perfect, the joy shared between Emily and Nate, their family and friends, was palpable. It was a beautiful day to witness, and we were overjoyed to be a part of it.

How They Met

Emily and Nate met during orientation at their new job. While they hit it off right away, the timing wasn’t exactly right, so they were friends for a while before they started dating. When they did start dating, however, they were already so comfortable together that it all felt right.

The Proposal

Nate’s Point of View: “Emily and I work a lot during the winter months so we like taking trips in the spring, summer, or fall to get away from work and unwind. We spontaneously booked a November trip to Hawaii for 10 days. I didn’t have all the details worked out other than doing it on that vacation but knew I wanted the moment to be special. The first full day we were on the Big Island, we did a secluded hike down a cliff to a quiet black sand beach. We were sitting on a washed-up log that served as a bench on the beach, and when there was no one around I asked her if she would spend forever with me. It was a perfect moment – in a beautiful place, doing the things we love – it couldn’t have gone any better. And I was thankful to not have to carry around the ring anymore!”

Emily’s Point of View: “We had been planning our Hawaii vacation for the last 6 months. I thought that there was a chance Nate would propose on the trip but didn’t want to expect anything and have the expectation get in the way of the amazing vacation we were taking. On our first full day in Hawaii, we were planning on taking a short hike down a cliff to one of the only black sand beaches on the Big Island. After our hike down the side of a mountain, we got to the beach, which to our surprise was pretty empty. Nate was adamant about wanting to walk all the way to the end of the beach to find a spot to sit and take in the view for a bit before hiking back up. I remember I was talking about something completely random when Nate shifted the conversation and got down on one knee. It was an amazing moment for us to be secluded in such a beautiful place to take the next step in our lives together. Even though I was thinking Nate would ask on this trip, I was surprised at the moment! It made the rest of our trip that much more special, as we were able to celebrate our engagement the whole time!”

Emily and Nate’s Pfister winter wedding was an amazing day celebrating the love they have for each other and the joy that so effortlessly flows out of that love. We spent the day smiling alongside these two and their crew. It was a great, great day!
