Fete of Wales Wedding

Allie & Chris‘ Fete of Wales wedding day was the perfect blend between calm relaxation and a gorgeously arrayed celebration. The weather outside fluctuated between overcast skies and sprinkling rain, but the joy within remained bright and sunny. The duration of the day began and ended at Fete of Wales. Both Allie and Chris prepared for their big day in separate areas of Fete. The only time we left the venue was for their first look, which they chose to do at the boat launch of Nagawicka lake! Thankfully, the rain played right into that plan, and they had their first look photos without a sprinkle! The lake is a really special place for them, so we’re so glad the weather allowed us to include it into their day! After this, the remainder of the day was spent enjoying all that Fete of Wales had to offer.

Allie & Chris met in Iowa when Allie interviewed for a residency program there. Chris was a part of the program there, and Allie had come down for an interview. The group gathered one evening, and in walked Allie, sporting a Green Bay Packers sweatshirt. Chris was smitten by her bravery and boldness (as well as by her sweet charm and humor). 😉 From that point on, they kept in touch through email, eventually leading to a more serious relationship. What started with fantasy football and the Green Bay Packers soon grew into a sweet and enduring relationship.

Chris and Allie are so relaxed and playful. Once they saw each other, they were all smiles. Their wedding day was a combination of beautiful, autumn-inspired decor, and moments and people that were incredibly important to them. The officiant was a close friend of theirs, and he enjoyed telling stories of their personalities as individuals and as a couple. Having someone who knows you so well be a part of your wedding ceremony is so special. And I think that can be said of the rest of their day as well – their friends and families were overjoyed to celebrate their union, and they didn’t have a shortage of wonderful things to be said on their behalf.
