We just loved our day with Laura & Wayne at their Horticultural Hall Lake Geneva wedding! We’ve had these two on our calendar for quite some time, and after getting to know them better during their engagement session and pre-wedding meetings, we knew we would thoroughly enjoy our day with them. The weather couldn’t have been more beautiful for their celebration. It was the perfect fall day. Add in these two lovebirds and their supportive friends and family, and it was everything they designed it to be (and more)!

Laura & Wayne met at work. Can you believe that they actually didn’t see eye to eye at first?! They were friends for a couple of years before they started growing feelings for one another. Then soon they realized that they had something special. When Wayne was offered a job in Iowa, Laura left everything to go there with him. Likewise, Wayne would do anything for Laura; you can see it in the way he looks at her. They simply adore each other.

They put so much work into their wedding, and they hand-made so much of the decor! They did an amazing job putting every single detail together, and they transformed the Horticultural Hall into a gorgeous space to celebrate with family & friends. With a beautiful ceremony in the courtyard of the Horticultural Hall, under the warm sunshine, they made their vows and promises to each other.

After dinner, we drove down to the lakeshore to grab the last few rays of sunlight. It was the perfect setting. As the sun went down over the lake, at the spot where Laura & Wayne were standing, we found a feather. Feathers are special to Laura because they’re a reminder of her grandfather. It was just so fitting that we found one at the very spot where the sun was shining in on these two on their wedding day.
