As I stood in the misting rain right before Ashley & Jason’s Bennett Barn wedding ceremony, I thought to myself, “This is perfect.” My thoughts were not sarcastic; they were, in fact, truthful. Even in the misting rain (something most brides don’t wish for their wedding day), everything about Ashley & Jason’s Bennett Barn wedding was absolutely PERFECT! Their family and friends gathered joyfully. They gathered under umbrellas on bales of sweet fresh hay. They came to laugh, cry, dance, sing, and celebrate.

Ashley and Jason met in high school. We’ve shared lots of the details of their love story here, but they’ve been best friends and “better together” for a long time now. This wedding was a true moment of celebration for everything they’ve shared. It was also a celebration of all they will share in the years to come. Through the misting rain, with crisp corn fields surrounding them, they made joyful promises for their future – to love and cherish.

As you browse through these photos of their wedding, you may not know how much love, time, and energy was put into some of the sweet details of their day. All of the AH-mazing flowers from Ashley & Jason’s Bennett Barn wedding were made by Ashley’s aunt and cousin. (And they actually grew the wild flowers too!) Ashley & Jason grew all of the pumkins and gourds themselves as well. Jason created some woodwork decor, and Ashley made her own garter. And since a family cannot be separated (especially on their wedding day), Ashley & Jason’s dogs joined in the celebration! And let’s not forget the dancing celebration by Cowboy Up! It was an unforgettable night!
