Hawk’s View Golf Club Wedding

Kaitlin & Cody met during their first year at Southern Illinois University. While they got to know each other while they were there, they both ended up leaving. Having found out that they actually didn’t live too far from each other outside of college, they would keep in touch here & there until it finally happened – they started dating! Having a bit of a history together, they hit it off quickly. Cody said he knew Kaitlin was the one for him when she woke up at four in the morning to go turkey hunting. Kaitlin says it was during one of their many country walks that it hit her – this was the man she was going to marry.

Fast forward to their wedding day, where family and friends gathered together to celebrate their history and this new path in their journey. Kaitlin & Cody’s son, Cameron, made the cutest ring bearer ever. Every part of the day was brightened by his adorable smile (and how much he LOVED all of the speeches)! From start to finish, our time at the Hawk’s View Golf Club in Lake Geneva, was beautifully spent. All of the details of Kaitlin & Cody’s day were perfectly captured here.

The weather was hot (one of the many hot, hot Saturdays we’ve had this summer), but the covered pavilion was the perfect place for an outdoor ceremony. Surrounded by beautiful views on every side, Kaitlin & Cody shared their vows and made it all official! 🙂 It was a personal ceremony, officiated by a family relative. He shared stories of how they met and the story of how they came to be standing together at the altar. Following the ceremony & cocktail hour, there were more touching speeches (with lots of happy tears).

Right before it was time to get the dance floor hopping, we stepped out for a few sunset photos. The sky was stunning! Even though there wasn’t that bright sunshine peeking through, the colors and textures in the sky made it so worthwhile to step out for a few sunset photos. Since Cody & Kaitlin love to tear it up on the dance floor, they were excited to get the rest of the party started, and their guests enjoyed the dance floor for the rest of the night. It was a beautiful Hawk’s View Golf Club wedding for Kaitlin & Cody, and here are a few of our favorites from their wedding day.
